Well it's quite a walk up the hill but I took some water and got up to the top and wow what have you if you make the trip up the mountain it is well worth it lot of spots it's quite easy the pathway is a lot better than what it used to be they spend a bit of time fixing up the path I do recommend going up the hill if you have the time the views are excellent from mwh. This beach is not crowded, the waves are less fierce, and with lifeguards present this beach is ideal for families. A visit to the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre in Port Macquarie is a great way to get a real feel for this areas rainforest. Second Head Lookout Forster Beneath the lookout is Pebbly Beach, where the path meanders past the Tanks to the section known as Frewin's Walk. Truly one of the better places in the world. The Sturt Highway stretches 947km from the Hume Highway (M31) in Tarcutta, NSW to Northern Expressway (M2) in Gawler, SA. There is nothing in the way of camping in Noosa itself but there are a few caravan parks nearby. I had an awesome visit to Sealy Lookout. Originally established in the 1970s, the park offers safe haven for marine animals that have been injured or otherwise made incapable of returning to the wild, and now houses dozens of aquatic mammals and other varieties including Little Penguins, sea lions, green sea turtles, and most famously, its handful of Bottlenose Dolphins which serve as the star attraction. One note for other visitors - get your tickets at the top in the gift 'stable' as you can't buy them at the lighthouse itself and you will have to walk all the way back to the start to get them. In addition, it has four huge thrill slides, two inflatable slides and a kids water park. Ride the famous Toboggan Ride overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. No matter if you are just stopping in to Coffs Harbour for a couple of hours or for much longer, the Big Banana has grown into a tourist destination in its own right and is well worth a visit. Set within a banana plantation, the park features a large artificial walk-through banana which was among the first of Australias Big Things. Easy 100m to the top viewing platform, small playground, picnic tables & toilets here. There is a lovely river mouth which is perfect for kids and of course plenty of beach. Some well done, some kindergarten level, all with a story! When I arrived at Coffs Harbor, I found an aquarium dedicated to watching dolphins and sea lions in the center of the town. With some of the best and most diverse surfing conditions along the Gold Coast, smaller surf can be found closer to the shore that is ideal for both swimming and beginning board riders, while outside the flags there are more challenging surf breaks further out that can sometimes become crowded due to their popularity with surfers. Nearby is Rainbow Bay Surf Club. Riverside Park at Raymond Terrace. It has quickly become one of my favorites places. If you're looking for a short walk with beautiful natural views, this is the place for you! The bananas and avocados are cheap too!. Overall we had great fun and we will definitely come back again! The mountain is a bit stif to drive but the road is nicely done enough to let 2 cars pass by. Beginning at Main Beach near the Bull Ring, it's just a short burst up the headland to Second Head Lookout. Now boasting 6 fantastic attractions including a 600m Toboggan Track, state of the art Laser Tag arena, a brand new Water Park including 4 heart stopping thrill slides and kids aqua play area, a magnificently sculpted 36 hole Mini Golf course, a Theatre and Plantation tour, an Ice Skating rink, Gift shop, Caf, Candy Kitchen and Nursery. Located on the northern side of Point Danger at the southern end of Rainbow Bay on the Gold Coast, Snapper is a point break forming the first part of the man-made Superbank which extends from Snapper Rocks Point, through Rainbow Bay, Greenmount Point, Coolangatta Beach, and Kirra, for a distance of around two kilometers. Conservation and education are the focus at this unique marine park. Tacking Point Lighthouse was built in 1879 and offers nice views down over Lighthouse Beach which stretches 7km. The cafe/restaurant was very good. Really good visibility at the exhibits. Otford, New South Wales You will have to turn off to the coast but the drive in about 30 mins in. I wont get right into where to stay in each place as it really depends on what sort of accommodation you are into, what your budget is and what sort of gear you have if you are camping (camper/caravan/tent etc). The beach is quiet with cafes and a pub close by. The rain forest and the serenity within it was to die for. A must for any visitor. Located in the Mid North Coast of Coffs Harbour, the Dolphin Marine Conservation Park houses and cares for marine mammals that were injured or temporarily unfit to be released to their natural habitat. Established in 1973, this nationally recognised treatment and rehabilitation centre in Port Macquarie has four permanent paid staff and provides 14 intensive care units and 33 special yards for rehabilitation. The best city between Sydney, Australia and Forster, Australia to meet is Newcastle, Australia which is about 11 miles from the exact midpoint. Just 8km (5mi) south of the town centre, the headland is an important site of cultural significance for the Birpai people, who have lived in the area for tens of thousands of years. Great surf beaches, awesome cafes and a cool live music event that happens once a month on the grassy area right on the beach called Peregian Originals. There is also a Koalaseum a museum for Koalas which provides information and has interactive displays so kids can touch koala fur or look down a microscope at koala poos poo! Hence the status as a World Surf Reserve. The largest amusement park between Sydney and the Gold Coast is right here in Coffs Harbour. With free admission and plenty of Australias cuddliest mammals on display, this is a great place to visit if youre taking a family holiday. It is a beautiful fall but you should adjust the expectations if going just for the lookout.
